  • 11 March 2010: Trees on Dunrossil Drive. On 10 March 2010, the NCA spoke to the Yarralumla Residents' Association about a draft strategy for the management of trees on Dunrossil Drive and adjacent land. The NCA is seeking community feedback on the initial draft strategy. Feedback from the community will be used to develop a more detailed strategy which will be presented again for public comment later in 2010.   • 6 February 2010: The Commissioner for Sustainability and the Environment, Dr Maxine Cooper, is undertaking an investigation into the Government’s tree management practices and the renewal of Canberra’s urban forest.
    The Commissioner has announced two evening community forums to discuss tree issues as they relate to the investigation. The forums will entail brief presentations followed by a facilitated discussion. People are invited to attend on:
    · 6-8.30pm, Thursday 11 February 2010 at Ainslie Football Club, 52 Wakefield Ave, Ainslie; or
    · 6-8.30pm, Monday 15 February 2010 in the Bradman Room at Manuka Oval, Canberra Ave, Manuka.
    Everyone is welcome to attend. It would assist catering arrangements if you indicate your intention to attend by contacting the Office of the Commissioner for Sustainability and the Environment on envcomm@act.gov.au or PO Box 356, Dickson, ACT 2602 or 02 6207 2626. The YRA is organising a Clean Up site outside the Yarralumla Primary School and invites Yarralumla residents and their friends to come along, have some fun and help keep Yarralumla looking good.
