The following provides a snap-shot of some of the community facilities, activities and events in Yarralumla which together contribute to the social, cultural and sporting life of this community.
The YRA is committed to enhancing community life for the residents of Yarralumla. If there are events or activities within Yarralumla which can contribute to this goal, the YRA can assist by providing information to residents through its newsletter, through this website, or through its notice board at the Yarralumla shops.

  • Friends of Grasslands hold four events a year at Stirling Ridge to undertake weeding and planting, to help maintain this endangered ecosystem. Their next events are on:

    • 11 September 2010 at Yarramundi Reach

    • 16 Oct - Stirling Park - Spring weeding of button wrinkle wort sites

    • 6 Nov - Stirling Park - Nature walk led by ecologist Sarah Sharp

    • 27 Nov (TBC) - Yarramundi Reach - St John's wort & blackberry control, sowing grass seed
